the town between the border and siem reap. at this point we have exchanged our pickup truck that had bench seats along the sides in the back for a smaller one with no benches, but with a suspension that wasn't threatening imminent demise. yay.

hour upon hour we passed through rice paddies, broken up only now and then with small clusters of huts. always with chickens and oxen. sometimes we passed men on motorbikes with very large live pigs strapped across the back.
